Our award-winning 1 Rosette luxury country hotel in Northumberland is looking for a Chef de Partie to join our talented kitchen team as we work towards achieving our next milestone – 2 AA Rosettes.
You’ll be joining a beautiful hotel with two dining outlets (a refined restaurant and a relaxed bar/brasserie), alongside a thriving wedding and events business. Under the guidance of our experienced Head Chef, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive, creative and forward-thinking castle kitchen and hotel.
The Role
As Chef de Partie, you will take responsibility for your section, ensuring every dish leaving the pass meets the high standards expected of a rosette-quality kitchen. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chefs, learning new techniques and helping to shape menus that champion local, seasonal Northumbrian produce.
Key Responsibilities
Run your section efficiently and consistently during service.
Prepare, cook and present dishes to the required standard.
Support the team in delivering high-quality food across the restaurant, bar and events spaces.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and food hygiene at all times.
Assist with stock control, ordering and rotation of produce.
Contribute ideas for menu development as we aim for 2 Rosettes.
Support and mentor junior team members when required.
About You
Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef de Partie in a quality fresh-food kitchen.
A genuine passion for food, seasonality and presentation.
A positive, can-do attitude with strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work calmly under pressure in a busy environment.
Eagerness to learn and develop under an award-winning Head Chef.

Northumberland: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:
Minimum 5 year as Chef or close to.
Minimum 1 year as Chef de Partie looking to progress with a can do mindset
Minimum 2AA rosette as experience for a duration period of minimum 1 year.
Licence/Certification:
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate Minimum (required)
H&S level 2 (required)
Allergen awareness training (required)
Work authorisation:
United Kingdom (required)
