The Chef Hub is delighted to be recruiting for an exciting opportunity within a newly established and ambitious play café in Stockton Heath, with plans to grow and develop.

We’re looking for a passionate Chef de Partie who takes pride in producing great food, keeping a well-organised kitchen and creating a positive experience for every guest.

This is an opportunity to join a growing business at an exciting stage and play an important role in helping shape the kitchen, food offering and day-to-day operation.

What You’ll Be Doing
Preparing, cooking and presenting fresh, home-style café dishes to a consistently high standard.
Supporting the smooth running of the kitchen during preparation and service.
Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, organisation and food safety.
Following Safer Food Better Business (SFBB) procedures.
Managing allergens and dietary requirements carefully and confidently.
Working closely with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver timely service.
Supporting stock control, minimising waste and maintaining good kitchen practices.
Contributing ideas towards the menu and helping develop the food offering as the business grows.
Taking pride in your section and supporting the wider kitchen team when required.

Has previous experience in a professional kitchen, café, restaurant or hospitality environment.
Has a genuine passion for cooking and producing quality food.
Understands food safety, hygiene and allergen awareness.
Is organised, reliable and able to work efficiently under pressure.
Takes pride in maintaining a clean and well-run kitchen.
Has strong communication skills and works well as part of a team.
Brings a positive attitude and enjoys working in a friendly, family-focused environment.
Wants to be part of a growing business rather than simply turning up for a shift.

Requirements

Ability to commute/relocate: Stockton Heath

Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)


Experience:

Min 5 years of culinary experience, 1 year as CDP

Casual dining, volume and quality driven, with a proven background of 1 year in similar casual venues

Confident knowledge of, EHO requirements temperature control and food safety

Passion for teamwork, commitment and growth in a remote area


Licence/Certification:

Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (minimum required)

H&S level 2 (required)

Allergen awareness training (required)

Standard DBS is required - payable by the client


Work authorisation:

United Kingdom (required) only, no sponsorship is available at this time
