Set within a rustic, warm, and luxurious environment, we combine fresh, in-house menu production with an elevated service style that keeps guests returning year after year.

The Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Working closely with the Head Chef, you will play a key role in leading kitchen operations, crafting seasonal menus, and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality dishes for both restaurant service and large-scale wedding events.
This is an exciting opportunity for a sous chef who thrives in a busy, creative environment and enjoys the variety of restaurant service combined with high-volume event catering.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen management, menu execution, and staff leadership.
Oversee preparation and service for restaurant, wedding, and event menus.
Maintain high culinary standards with a focus on fresh, in-house production.
Assist with menu development, seasonal changes, and new dish creation.
Ensure food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness in line with standards.
Train, mentor, and support junior kitchen staff.
Manage stock, ordering, and waste control efficiently.
Lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.
Help uphold the rustic, warm, and luxury culinary identity of the venue.
About You
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up.
Skilled in both restaurant service and high-volume event catering.
Passionate about fresh, seasonal ingredients and creating memorable dishes.
Calm, organised, and positive under pressure - especially during 200-cover Saturdays.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Commitment to quality, consistency, and a strong team culture.

Requirements
Ability to commute/relocate:
SK Postcode: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Some relocation temporary live in space can be supplied
Experience:
Minimum 5 year as Chef or close to.
Minimum 1 year Sous/leadership capacity - Looking to progress as venue
Ability to lead an established kitchen and menu operations hands on, commitment and growth, great positive team influence
Licence/Certification:
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate Minimum (required)
H&S level 2 (required)
Allergen awareness training (required)
Work authorisation:
United Kingdom (required)
