About the Role

Head Chef – Daytime Fresh Food Café
A fresh food kitchen. A proper community. Great food without the late nights.
The Chef Hub is working with a fantastic, community-focused daytime café that is all about fresh food, family, great hospitality and creating a place people genuinely want to return to.
We’re looking for a Head Chef who wants to take ownership of the kitchen and be part of something with a real personality.

This isn't about complicated food for the sake of it. It's about doing the classics brilliantly, using fresh ingredients, producing food people know and love, and making sure everything that leaves the kitchen is consistent, generous and full of quality.

From **fresh bakes made daily** to daytime classics, brunch favourites and proper comfort food, this is a kitchen where the food is at the heart of the experience.

The Role
As Head Chef, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, independently ran with weekend support from a kitchen assistant, and ensuring standards remain high from prep through to service.

You'll be involved in:

* Leading and developing the kitchen
* Maintaining consistently high food and presentation standards
* Preparing fresh food from quality ingredients
* Overseeing daily baking and fresh production
* Developing seasonal specials and menu ideas
* Managing ordering, stock, wastage and GP
* Ensuring food safety and kitchen compliance to SFBB
* Creating a positive, supportive kitchen culture
* Working closely with the front-of-house team to deliver a brilliant guest experience

The Food
Think fresh, honest and properly cooked food.
Core classics are the go-to, supported by daily specials, fresh bakes and seasonal ideas. The menu doesn't need to reinvent the wheel - it needs to make people say:

"That was bloody good. We'll be back."

We're Looking For
We're looking for a chef who:

* Has previous Head Chef, Sous Chef or strong senior kitchen experience
* Is confident leading a kitchen and a team
* Understands fresh food production and consistency
* Has a genuine passion for good, uncomplicated food
* Takes pride in presentation and standards
* Is organised and commercially aware
* Enjoys working in a busy, customer-focused environment
* Wants to be part of a family and community-led business, rather than just another kitchen

Most importantly, we're looking for the right personality.
Someone who enjoys feeding people, developing a team, getting involved and creating a kitchen that people enjoy working in.

The Lifestyle

This is a daytime operation, meaning no late-night finishes.
It's an opportunity to have genuine ownership of a kitchen, work with great fresh food and become part of a business where **family, community and hospitality are at the centre of everything they do.**

If you're a chef who wants a role with great food, great people, great hours and a great vibe, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply through The Chef Hub today.
