With over 25 years in the hospitality industry, I’ve refined my skills through training at ICIF Costigliole D'Asti and various roles across the UK. I've opened over 20 branded restaurants, hosted cookery demonstrations with celebrity chefs, and managed teams of up to 30 in award-winning establishments generating £6 million annually in fresh, scratch-made food.
Starting as a kitchen porter at 15, I became an Executive Chef by 30, evolving from recipe creator to a mentor and health and safety leader for my team.
The challenges of 2020 reshaped the industry, but I found support and pursued training in mental health, becoming an ambassador for a nonprofit focused on mental health for chefs. LinkedIn has also provided a valuable sense of community.
My website adapts to the trend of virtual services, offering diverse recipes with costings and allergen info on a pay-as-you-go basis. This helps reduce costs associated with hiring freelance chefs while providing links to quality suppliers.
I have experience in various culinary styles, including pub/bistro, French, Spanish, pan-Asian, and Italian cuisine. I hold a Food Safety Level 3 distinction (Highfield) and have learned from inspiring chefs like Antonio Carluccio, Jamie Oliver, and Gennaro Contaldo.
The pandemic led me to create The Chef Hub, a permanent recruitment and on-demand Executive Chef service
