About the Role
For almost 20 years, our small but well-established restaurant group has been serving fresh, locally sourced food to loyal guests and new visitors alike. Our Sale venue has recently undergone a stunning redevelopment, creating an inspiring space to match the quality on the plate. With around 150 covers a day, everything is prepared on site by a team that takes real pride in their craft.
The Role
We’re looking for a Sous Chef who brings reliability, maturity, and skill to a busy yet close-knit kitchen. You’ll support the Head Chef in running daily operations, ensuring every dish meets our high standards while leading a modest, talented team. This is a role for a chef who values consistency, calm leadership, and genuine hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily service, managing the kitchen when the Head Chef is off-duty.
Maintain quality and consistency across all menu items, from prep to plating.
Lead, train, and support a small, dedicated team in a collaborative environment.
Champion the use of fresh, local produce and seasonal menus.
Manage ordering, stock control, and waste reduction efficiently.
Uphold food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures at all times.
About You
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie ready to step up.
Strong organisational skills and a calm, confident leadership style.
A passion for fresh, local, and seasonal cooking.
Reliable, professional, and committed to maintaining high standards.
Able to thrive in a friendly, team-focused environment.

Requirements
Ability to commute/relocate:
Sale, Greater Manchester M33: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
Min 5 years of culinary experience, minimum 1 year as Sous will be required
Casual, volume experience
Mature leadership and calm coaching culture is a must!
